Position Summary

Lenawee Christian School is seeking a dedicated and passionate K-12 Art Teacher to join our academic team. The K-12 Art Teacher will play a crucial role in shaping the spiritual and intellectual development of our students. As a key member of our faculty, the successful candidate will inspire students to grow in their faith, understanding of biblical principles, and critical thinking skills.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching:

• Conduct engaging and comprehensive art classes while integrating biblical principles and lessons.
• Develop and implement effective lesson plans, incorporating diverse teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and skill development in the visual arts.
• Develop an art curriculum that integrates Christian values, principles, and themes into artistic projects and activities.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages spiritual growth.
• Provide constructive feedback to students and collaborate with parents on student progress.
• Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
• Uphold and model Christian values in all interactions with students, staff, and parents.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and integrated educational experience for

• Use communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey biblical concepts and teachings.

Qualifications

Educational Background:

• Bachelor’s degree in art or related major.
• Valid teaching certification from an accredited institution preferred.

Experience:

• Proven experience in teaching art.
• Demonstrated commitment to integrating faith into the curriculum and fostering spiritual growth in students.

Christian Faith:

• Profess and demonstrate a personal commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
• Adherence to Christian principles and values in both personal and professional life.
