Lenawee Christian Ministries provides a Christ-centered education, spiritual development, and wellness services to the Lenawee County community, centered around Jesus Christ.

Position Summary:

Lenawee Christian School is seeking a dedicated and passionate elementary teacher to join our academic team. The teacher will play a crucial role in nurturing the academic, social and spiritual development of our students. As a key member of our faculty, the successful candidate will inspire students to grow in their faith, understanding of biblical principles, and critical thinking skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teaching:

• Uphold and model Christian values in all interactions with students, staff, and parents.

• Create a positive and supportive atmosphere where each child feels valued and respected.

• Provide engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons in subjects such as language arts, math, science, and social studies.

• Plan and implement small group instruction to meet individual student goals.

• Foster a love for learning through hands-on activities, storytelling, and interactive projects.

• Develop and implement effective lesson plans, incorporating diverse teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles.

• Provide constructive feedback to students and collaborate with parents on student progress.

• Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.

• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and integrated educational experience

• Abide by standards of conduct and behavior as outlined in the employee handbook.

• Use communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey biblical concepts and teachings.

• Contribute to the school’s overall mission and participate in extracurricular activities.

Qualifications:

• Christian Faith:

• Profess and demonstrate a personal commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

• Adherence to Christian principles and values in both personal and professional life.

• Educational Background:

• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education

• Valid teaching certification; Michigan certification preferred or able to work toward State of Michigan and ACSI certification will also be considered.
